Our Story

When Bracegirdle’s House of Fine Chocolate first opened the doors to its flagship Jetty Road store back in 2005, it was one of Adelaide’s first and only dessert bars.

Sue’s background was in retail and she ran a small chocolate and confectionery shop in Blackwood. While Garry, a former high school teacher, brought his passion for teaching and training staff to the business.

Bracegirdle’s began to thrive and two years later the second café at Toorak Gardens opened. This was followed by McLaren Vale, then Marion, Cross Roads and Blackwood. They invested time, energy and money into ensuring the business’s chocolatiers were as highly skilled as possible.

This training certainly paid off, with the company now boasting the enviable title of ‘Australia’s most awarded chocolate company’.
